Meet the founder of the Homes of LOVE, Inc. Ashley Bowers
Ashley Bowers—a woman whose life story is a powerful testament to resilience, purpose, and unwavering faith.
Raised in Two Egg, Florida, Mrs. Bowers spent her childhood in the foster care system as a result of her parents’ substance misuse and incarceration. At the age of 18, she aged out of the system and began her journey into independence through the Independent Living Program, where she received continued support from her local Community-Based Care agency. While the transition was not without its challenges, it became the foundation for her strength and determination.
Through both lived experience and professional insight, Mrs. Bowers deeply understands the fears, uncertainties, and obstacles faced by youth aging out of foster care. More importantly, she understands what is possible when they are given the right support, guidance, and encouragement.
Today, Mrs. Bowers is a devoted wife and mother, driven by a heart to serve and a calling to uplift others. Her passion is rooted in helping youth and young adults successfully transition into independence—ensuring they feel seen, supported, and empowered.
She holds a Master of Science in Human Services, with an emphasis in Organizational and Social Services, and has earned multiple professional certifications, including Certified Child Welfare Case Manager, Certified Child Welfare Trainer, Certified Human Trafficking Trainer, and Certified Independent Living Trainer. Beyond her credentials, she serves as a dedicated advocate and mentor to those navigating the same path she once walked.
The vision for THOL was born from her personal journey through Florida’s foster care system. Having experienced the instability, lack of foundation, and uncertainty firsthand, Mrs. Bowers made a commitment to be the support she once needed. She recognizes that many young people today still face these same realities—and she refuses to let them face it alone.
Through Homes of LOVE, Inc., Mrs. Bowers is turning pain into purpose. Her mission is to break cycles of generational trauma, restore hope, and equip young adults with the tools they need to build stable, independent, and fulfilling lives.
